Empowering Women in Chemistry:
A Global Networking Event February 12, 2019

The Global Women’s Breakfast is an initiative of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), that aims to assist female chemists to expand their network of contacts. Women at different stages of their individual careers can inform each other about their career progress, and together explore opportunities, in professional development and in research or teaching horizons.

The School of Chemistry & Physics organised its own breakfast event that saw over 100 women gather to for a morning of sharing stories, networking and celebrating female scientists. The event was one of many being live-streamed around the world.
