This talk will focus on least-cost energy systems.
Bio: Dr Jarrad Wright is a qualified electrical engineer with Ph.D. from WITS University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) with ECSA and a member of SAIEE, CIGRE and IEEE. He has extensive energy sector experience in 11 African countries. He is currently based at the CSIR Energy Centre in Pretoria, South Africa as a Principal Engineer predominantly involved en- ergy systems operations and planning, sector-coupling, system stability, network planning, resource forecasting, storage and enabling market arrangements. Jarrad is also a Commissioner on the South African NPC for the period 2015-2020 as appointed by the President of South Africa.
