
How to get published in academic journals
This webinar will discuss the process and experience of publishing with Wiley, with the following topics being covered: Why publish, article types and Journal selection, submitting an article, open research and funding, the editorial process and peer review, publication ethics, production processes, article promotion and measuring impact, meet your local South African Researchers, lessons learned and advice for SA researchers. There will be a Q&A section at the end of the session.
Speakers:
- Peter Creaton has 12 years of publishing experience at Wiley. He is currently a Senior Journals Publishing Manager responsible for a portfolio of engineering journals.
- Olivia Reed is a Journals Publishing Manager at Wiley. She is responsible for a portfolio of civil engineering titles and has been at Wiley for three years.
- Eric Isemonger BSc Hons, Rhodes University. Eric is currently writing his thesis for a Ph.D. in Microbiology at Rhodes University. He co-authored three papers that were published in 2020, two of which in Wiley journals.
- Janice Rimbault is the Senior Institutional Account Manager for South Africa. She holds a BA from the University of KwaZulu Natal, and a post-graduate Library Science diploma. As well as working extensively within tertiary institutional libraries, she has lectured in Business Communications. Janice has been with Wiley for 14 years.
