Topic: Why it’s important to understand how fluids move to predict our future climate with Dr Justin Pringle
Dr Justin Pringle is an NRF-Y researcher, rated as “young researcher having the potential to establish themselves as a researcher” in Fluid Mechanics. Justin’s vision is to develop meaningful solutions to global grand challenges using Environmental Fluid Mechanics. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and co-heads the environmental fluid mechanics research group at UKZN (https://efml.ukzn.ac.za). He is very passionate about capacity and skills development and believes that most creative solutions to societal problems lie in collaborative research. His current research looks at coastal processes, climate change, renewable energy and the fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
