STEC@UKZN Holiday Workshops – Build an Anemometer
Dr T of the UKZN Science Centre will be hosting a series of fun and informative Science workshops for primary school pupils during the July School holidays, 5-9 July, 15h00-16h00 daily.
In this workshop, you will learn how to build an anemometer and how to measure wind speed.
What you will need:
- 4 small paper cups
- Push pin
- Sharpened pencil with eraser on one end
- Timer
- Stiff, corrugated cardboard (to cut two, 13 to 23 cm strips)
- Modeling clay
- Scissors
- Marking pens
- A ruler
- Stapler
