STEC@UKZN Holiday Workshops – Understanding Climate Change
Dr T of the UKZN Science Centre will be hosting a series of fun and informative Science workshops for primary school pupils during the July School holidays, 5-9 July, 15h00-16h00 daily .
In this workshop we show experiments better to understand the terms green house effect, ocean acidification and sea level rises.
What you will need:
- Large clear bowl (glass bowl)
- Glass of water
- Vinegar
- Bicarbonate
- Small glass
- Thermometer
- 2 identical glasses
- Marking pen or tape
- Ice cubes
- Small rock or other small object to represent land
- Water
