Ukulinga Howard Davis Memorial Symposium

The Ukulinga Howard Davis Memorial Symposium honours the educational legacy of the late Howard Davis who was killed in the Battle of the Somme in 1916, and is sponsored by the Howard Davis Farm Trust. The symposium showcases theoretical and applied research carried out at UKZN’s Ukulinga Research Farm, founded in 1950, to the scientific community, agribusiness sector and farming community. [

The theme of SMALL SCALE FARMERS AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION is intended to bring together stakeholders driving research and practice across southern Africa to focus on the challenges and opportunities facing farmers, particularly smallholder farmers, in a changing climate.

Participation is invited from academics, researchers, practitioners, civil society, farming organisations, policy makers, local government and students involved in far-reaching efforts to inform and facilitate adaptation to a changing climate. ]

For inclusion in the programme with an oral presentation, poster display or creative presentation, please submit a 300-word abstract or presentation description to cuenod@ukzn.ac.za  by no later than 31 AUGUST 2022.
