ChemBurg, a society for postgraduate Chemistry students, hosted a leadership and stress management workshop on the Pietermaritzburg campus on 13 May.
Organised in collaboration with the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science, the workshop was aimed to equip postgraduate students with leadership skills and strategies for effective time and stress management. These students require leadership skills in order to fulfil their roles as tutors and demonstrators, while time and stress management are vital for researchers pursuing postgraduate studies.
College officers and psychologists, Mr Mzamo Zondi and Ms Rossella Meusel, facilitated the workshop which was well-received by the participants.
ChemBurg acknowledged the facilitators and the School of Chemistry and Physics for sponsoring refreshments, as well as the postgraduate students for participating in the workshop.
